App Sharing allows you to upload an app once and then share it with other organizations as needed. This is particularly useful if:

  1. You manage several organizations that share the use of certain apps, or

  2. You are a software vendor who would like to share an app with ManageXR users but wants to avoid sending APK files to all of your customers.

Sharing apps between organizations requires the use of Release Channels. Please read our Release Channel Documentation to learn more about creating release channels.

Share Apps With Your Other Organizations

To share an app with your other organizations:

  1. Navigate to your app's page

  2. If you haven't already, create a release channel for your app

  3. Click Share next to the release channel you want to share

  4. Click on the organizations you'd like to share with

  5. Click Save Changes

This app will now appear in the Shared Apps section of your other organization's Apps page.

Share Apps With External Organizations

You can share an app with an organization that you don't belong to using a Share Code.

To generate a Share Code:

  1. Navigate to your app's page

  2. If you haven't already, create a release channel for your app

  3. Click Share next to the release channel you want to share

  4. Click + New Share Code

  5. Click the share code to copy it to your clipboard

Now, share this code with a ManageXR user so that they can add the app to their organization. Follow these instructions for adding a shared app to your organization using a share code.

๐Ÿ’ก Note: By default, Share Codes can only be used once. With single-use share codes you need to generate a new code for each organization you share your app with. You can convert a Share Code to Multi-Use to use the same code for many different organizations.
