ManageXR supports distributing any type of file to your device's file system. These files include Unity AssetBundles, MP4 videos, pictures, music, or text files. We also support systems that require complex folder structures with hundreds of files via nested file management. Nested file management makes it easy to:
Upload nested folder structures to your ManageXR file library
Deploy a single file or nested folder structures to devices via Configurations
Deploy nested folder structures as Bundled Files with app versions
đĄUploading folders via the file picker is available in the Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera browsers. If you want to upload a folder in your current browser, you can drag and drop it into the files section. However, we recommend using the Chrome web browser when uploading large files. In our experience, it is faster and more reliable.
Upload a single file or nested folder structure
Navigate to the Files tab on the left side panel
Click the Add Files to upload a single file or Add Folder to upload an entire folder structure
Select the file or folder structure you wish to upload

Deploy a single file or nested folder structure to devices via Configurations
Navigate to the Configurations tab on the left side panel and select the configuration you wish to add files to
Click Files in the configurations settings
Add a new folder to deploy files to
Or use existing file structures from your file library
Drag the file structure from your file library and add it to your configuration
đĄWhen deploying files to a configuration from your file library, you can select a single file/folder or many at a time by selecting a file/folder and shift-clickingâpress escape to un-select multiple files.
Deploy nested folder structures as Bundled Files with app versions
Bundled Files help you distribute, organize, and update supporting files efficiently. Using nested files, you can save complex file structures to your ManageXR file library and easily bundle them with an app version. To deploy nested folder structures as bundled files:
Upload the desired file structure to your file library
Navigate to the VR Content tab, select an app, and click the Bundled Files icon
Drag the file structure from your file library and add it to your bundled files
Keeping your configuration files up to date
If you update or add files to file structures in your file library, these changes do not sync automatically to your configurations. To get the newly added files to sync with your configuration(s):
Update or add the new file to the correct folder in your file system
Go to the configuration(s) youâd like to update
Find the new file in your file library and drag the individual file to the correct folder
If youâve uploaded multiple new files to your file library, instead of dragging all new files to your configuration, you can temporarily remove the entire folder from the configuration without saving, re-drag the updated folder with the new files over, and then save your changes. This will not re-download everything in the folderâany file that existed before will not need to be re-downloaded.

How do I upload a file to a specific directory?
You need to know the specific directory to deploy a file there. App developers control where they read files from, and this can differ between apps. If you don't already know the directory, you'll need to inquire with the developers so they can confirm which directory you should be targeting.
