Discover XR connects you with partners who help set your VR and AR deployments up for success. With Discover XR, you can try high-quality applications, connect with custom content developers, and access resources like hardware resellers and provisioners.

Discover XR has three sections: Instant Apps, Content Providers, and Hardware Partners. Read on for the FAQs about how Discover XR works and what you can get out of it.

⚡️ Instant Apps

What are Instant Apps?

Instant Apps are free demo versions of applications intended to help you discover and connect with great developers.

You can add Instant Apps to your VR Content Library and deploy them on your devices remotely. Some Instant Apps require you to create a free trial account, and others provide account-free access to demo modules.

Are Instant Apps free?

Yes! Instant Apps are required to have free demo content. To access the full version of an app or more content from a developer, you can contact the developer from within ManageXR.

How do I try an Instant App on my devices?

  • Add the Instant App to your VR Content Library.

  • Create a Configuration.

💡 Note: you can also select an existing configuration. However, if you want to test the app on a subset of your devices, it's probably best to create a new configuration for testing purposes.

  • Deploy the app to the Configuration.

  • Apply the Configuration to your device.

What privileges are required to save and deploy Instant Apps?

App & File management privileges are required to add Instant Apps to your VR Content Library.

Configuration management privileges are required to add an Instant App to a configuration to deploy it to devices.

How can I get in touch with an Instant App developer?

You can send a message directly to Instant App developers without leaving ManageXR. There are two places where you can contact them from:

  1. Contact from the Instant App page in Discover XR:

    OR

  2. Get Connected from the page where the Instant App is saved in your VR Content Library

Pressing Contact or Get Connected will open up a form for you to submit a message directly to the point of contact at the developer organization. Submitting this form will send the developer an email with your name, message, and contact information. The developer will take it from there!

Content Providers

What happens when I Contact a Content Provider?

Pressing Contact on the Content Provider page will open up a form for you to submit a message directly to the point of contact at the partner organization. Submitting this form will send the developer an email with your name, message, and contact information. The developer will take it from there!

Hardware Partners

What happens when I Contact a Hardware Partner?

Pressing "Contact" on the Hardware Partner page will open up a link for you to book a meeting with our partnerships team. That way, we can give you a warm introduction to the channel reseller, provisioning partner, or other hardware resources you need.

Joining Discover XR, requesting content and security

How can I list my company's offerings on Discover XR?
