Wolvic offers the option to personalize your virtual environment with background images. You can choose from pre-existing images within Wolvic or upload your own custom images using the ManageXR Web Console. Below are the steps to help you navigate through this process.

Wolvic doesn't provide the option to customize background images for the No Search version of their browser. This documentation can only be applied for configurations that have Wolvic Browser (Standard) selected for WebXR links.

Using Pre-existing Background Images

  1. Launch the Wolvic application on your device

  2. Access Settings

  3. Browse through the available background images and select the one that suits your preference.

Using Custom Background Images

Upload to the ManageXR Web Console

  1. Prepare an image in a cubemap format. Supported file formats include .png, .jpg, and .ktx

  2. Open the ManageXR Web Console, and upload the files from that image by following these steps

  3. Upload the image files to the following directory in the ManageXR Web Console: Android/data/com.igalia.wolvic/files/skybox. Here's an example of how the files will look in the ManageXR web console:

Deploy to your Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Configurations tab on the left side panel and select the configuration you wish to add the files to

  2. Click Files in the Configuration settings

  3. Drag the file structure from your file library and add it to your configuration.

Apply it to Wolvic

  1. Launch Wolvic from within the headset

  2. Go to the Settings panel

  3. Select Environments

  4. Toggle on the option labeled Environment Override

  5. Restart the Wolvic app for the modifications to be applied successfully.
